On February 24~28, 2025, the 17th meeting of the working group of the ISO/TC 313/WG1 International Organization for Standardization “Packaging Machinery” Technical Committee was held in Frankfurt, Germany. The meeting was organized by the German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Association (VDMA), and more than 30 experts from China, Germany, the United States, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia and other countries participated in the working group meeting. The National Technical Committee for Standardization of Packaging Machinery (SAC/TC 436) and the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Food Packaging Machinery (SAC/TC 494) organized a Chinese delegation to attend the on-site meeting at VDMA, and Liu Decheng, chairman of Qingdao Yilong Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., attended the meeting as a member of the delegation.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. W. Gangkofner Thomas moderated the discussion on the fifth round of the call for comments on the international standard ISO/CD 24158-1 “Safety of Packaging Machinery Part 1: General Requirements”. The meeting had an in-depth discussion on the technical content of the ISO/CD 24158-1 standard with experts from various countries. The standard aims to provide unified safety technical specifications for the design, manufacture, installation and use of global packaging machinery, which is of far-reaching significance for ensuring the personal safety of operators, improving the quality of packaging machinery products and promoting the healthy development of the global packaging machinery industry. At the meeting, the Chinese delegation gave full play to its professional technology in the field of packaging machinery and rich experience in the formulation of standards, and put forward a series of constructive opinions and suggestions on the key technical terms in the standard, such as the design of mechanical guards, stopping functions and preventing accidental starts, reducing radiation risks, noise test methods, etc. Through the interaction with international experts, the understanding and trust between each other have been further enhanced, and a solid foundation has been laid for China’s international standardization cooperation in the field of packaging machinery in the future. At this meeting, the fifth round of discussion was successfully completed, and after the consensus of the participating experts, the draft standard CD will be submitted to the DIS stage after revision. As the drafting unit of national standards and industry standards for China’s bag-feeding automatic packaging machine, Qingdao Yilong has adhered to technological innovation for 28 years, and has always been at the forefront of the industry, and has developed a series of bag-feeding automatic packaging machines, which not only serve many industries such as domestic rice, flour, grain and oil, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, daily chemical cosmetics, pharmaceutical and chemical industry, catering, etc., but also exported to dozens of countries and regions such as Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, West Asia, and the Middle East, providing customized automated packaging solutions for different customers around the world. Qingdao Yilong’s participation in the ISO/TC 313/WG1 International Standardization Committee Working Group Meeting for Packaging Machinery as a representative further consolidated the company’s solid position in the industry and laid a solid foundation for the company’s technological innovation and market expansion. In the future, Qingdao Yilong will continue to promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading with a firmer pace and forward-looking vision, and lead the industry to a new height.
